ProArts presents "Cinderella", one of their island-famous fractured fairy tales, as the second show of their Spring season which will continue through June this year.

This new production of "Cinderella" is an original musical adaptation of the classic story, to be presented at the ProArts Playhouse in Kihei's Azeka Shopping Center. Keiki are provided with magic wands to help bring the story to life. The whole family–keiki, parents, and grandparents–will enjoy this wacky version of the beloved tale. After the performance, the audience is invited to meet the characters, one-on-one, with photo ops.

"Cinderella" features Casey Murphy as Cinderella; Mark Bolden as the nerdy Prince Rupert; Rose Roselinksy as The Baroness, Cinderella's arrogant stepmother; Dale Button and Kristi Scott as the devious stepsisters, Gauntine and Pudgina; Bill Schnitzer as the uptight King Reginald and Vinnie Linares as Percival, the patient page; and Sarah Loney as the confused but magical Fairy Godmother ably assisted by Dylan Bode as her well-organized mouse secretary.

The show is produced, directed and written by Jonathan Lehman. Sarah Loney is responsible for the fairy tale costumes, with scenery created by Caro Walker and lighting provided by Bonnie Prucha.

Opening night is April 6 and the show runs until April 22, playing Thursdays and Fridays at 7:30 pm, Saturdays at 4:00 pm and Sundays at 1:00 and 4:00 pm (no shows on 4/8). ProArts offers reserved seats at $15.00 and floor seating (for keiki) at $10.00.

The intimate ProArts Playhouse is located at the Azeka (Makai) Shopping Center, 1280 S. Kihei Rd. in Kihei. The Playhouse is air conditioned, with ample free parking, plenty of nearby restaurants, and an art gallery inside currently featuring the works of Marjorie Tyler and Ed Lane.

"Cinderella" is suitable for all audiences.
